Documentary on 1967 Detroit Riot
The week of July 29th, 2017 marks the 50th
year since the 1967 Riots in Detroit, Michigan. Focus:HOPE in partnership with Middle Detroit developed a compelling film and exhibition featuring the shared narratives of residents in the Focus:HOPE community about race, equity, and progress in the 50 years after the 1967 Detroit.
In Pursuit of HOPE was made possible in part by a grant from the Michigan Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
